The EXCEL Education Center opened in July 2008 with the Summer Enrichment Program. The summer was the introduction to the EXCEL Education Program that serves students throughout their secondary school career.The ultimate goal of all EXCEL is to see students reaching their full potential; going to colleges located in Sierra Leone and throughout the world, becoming entrepreneurs and future leaders. Participants and will participate in innovative and creative workshops taught by educational leaders from the United States and Sierra Leone. The teacher component will engage teachers in professional development workshops that bring a wealth of resources, current materials, and updated curriculum, while also providing teachers with the most current and effective teaching strategies.

As part of the EXCEL Program, we will collaborate with students, teachers, parents, administrators, and the community to provide academic support, leadership and community development and a college preparation program geared toward increasing students academic success. Mission

EXCEL will train youth to be productive and youthful citizens, hence becoming future leaders of Africa. EXCEL is dedicated to providing quality supplemental, non-formal education programs, activities, and support services to secondary students, and educators. Participants will enter institutions of higher education and become entrepreneurs, managers or executives and contribute to the growth of Sierra Leone.
